Privacy policy
Auto Reg Advisor helps you understand global automotive regulations by reading official government sources live and answering with citations. This page explains, plainly, what we collect and why.
What we collect
We keep things minimal. We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the tool is used and to improve it:
- Your timezone, browser language, and referrer (the page you arrived from).
- Edge-geo country/region derived on our server from your network request — we do not store your precise location or IP for analytics.
- Basic page-view and session-duration signals.
The questions you ask the advisor are logged so we can improve the tool's accuracy and coverage. Please avoid including personal or confidential information in your questions.
Contact & subscription form data
If you use the contact form or subscribe to Regulatory Watch alerts, we collect the name and email (and, for contact, the message) you provide. This information is used only to reply to you or to send the change alerts you requested. We never sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing.
How the answers are produced
When you ask a question, our agents fetch content from official regulatory sources (such as NHTSA, EPA, the EU Commission, UNECE, UK VCA, Japan MLIT, India MoRTH, and Australia's vehicle-design authority) at the time of your request. Answers are for reference only — always verify with the official authority before making compliance decisions.
Cookies & tracking
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Usage signals are sent directly to our own analytics endpoint.
Data retention
Anonymous usage data and logged questions are retained only as long as useful for improving the service. Contact messages and subscription details are kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry or send your alerts.
